Who we are

What we collect
- What you give us — name, telephone number, email address, vehicle registration and anything you write in a form or text message.
- Vehicle and job records — registration, mileage, work carried out, parts fitted, fault codes read from the vehicle and photographs of faults.
- Analytics, only with your consent — pages visited, approximate region, device type. No third-party script runs until you choose “Accept analytics”.
- Server logs — our host records IP addresses and request times for security.
We do not take card details through this website.
Lawful basis
- Contract — to quote for, carry out and invoice work on your vehicle.
- Legal obligation — MOT records and accounting records we are required to keep.
- Legitimate interests — answering an enquiry, warranty administration, and preventing abuse of our forms.
- Consent — analytics, and any marketing you actively opt into. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Vehicle data
Worth stating plainly: connecting a diagnostic tool reads data your vehicle has stored — fault codes, the conditions recorded when a fault occurred, mileage and sometimes recent driving parameters. We use it to diagnose and repair the car and we keep it with your job record. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to insurers, manufacturers or data brokers.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We share only what is necessary with our hosting and email providers, our analytics provider where you have consented, parts suppliers where a warranty claim requires the vehicle and job details, DVSA for MOT records as required by law, and our accountants. Some providers operate servers outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards apply.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t become work — 12 months
- Job records and invoices — 6 years, for tax and consumer-claim purposes
- MOT records — as required by DVSA
- Analytics — 14 months
Cookies and this website
This site sets no cookies by default and loads no third-party scripts before you choose. Under PECR, non-essential storage requires your consent first, so we ask before anything runs rather than dropping trackers and offering a banner afterwards. Browser local storage remembers two things: your consent choice, and whether you agreed to load the embedded map. Clearing browser storage resets both.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to be informed, to access your data, to rectification, to erasure where we are not required to keep it, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Email privacy@koionroetaa.info or ring the garage. We respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Marketing
We send service and MOT reminders only to customers who have asked for them, and every message tells you who it is from and how to stop. We do not buy or rent marketing lists.
